Gallery FRANK

Gallery FRANK is our artist-led contemporary art space and the main public facing feature of Ebor Studio.  The gallery was a new venture which we introduced at Ebor in 2018 to enable us to increase accessible projects in the form of exhibitions, workshops and other creative enterprises. It is a flexible, multi-purpose space offering project opportunities and resources.

We programme exhibitions by in-house artists and designers as well as by visiting practitioners and art groups. We encourage audiences from the region and beyond. Support by various arts and community funding awards allows us to refurbish the space and support our programme of contemporary art exhibitions.

Gallery FRANK is named in honour of the previous owner of the building, Frank Haywood, who was a great supporter of the Ebor Project, without whom it would not exist. Frank had a pattern-making business working mainly in plastics and much of the legacy of his work can still be seen around the building in the shape of traffic and other signage.
