Lee Freeman

After studying Design at University I went into education and I am currently head of a creative faculty. I joined Ebor Studio recently in order to pursue more artistic endeavours and develop my own practice.

My work focuses on portraiture and seeks to make connections between the past and present. My most recent works are concerned with establishing a connection between the imposing majesty of Greek sculpture and the humble reality of modern man, both visually and metaphorically.

My work is intended to highlight the stark and subtle contrasts between the two time periods, to examine the hierarchies of the past whilst questioning those in place today.

Martha Lyons Haywood

Martha’s sculptures and installations are results of tentative deliberations through physical play and intervention of materials, space and environment. She dedicates time to existing objects and to the innate natures of materials balancing 'beauty in tension'.

Much of her work is made up of found, natural and organic materials which allow her to play with alchemy and to create dialogues between harmonies or crises in our surrounding cultures.

Mary Naylor

Constructing portraits and scenes with strong fruity colours; self taught painter Mary Naylor likes to make vivid images for people to lap up and enjoy.

Prioritising and embracing escapism in preference of political statements or complex meaning, for both herself and her viewers.

She graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from Liverpool John Moores and has continued to create and exhibit ever since. Her next solo exhibition will take place at Gallery Frank, Littleborough, April 2021.

Available for commissions, collaborations and murals.

Chris Leach

The mainstay of my work is drawing, the works are intricate and finely detailed drawings, they are about proximities and relativities of scale on both a psychological and material level. They are constructed to encourage an intimate response, enticing the viewer towards the surface of the composition as a point of mediation between the image and the elements that make up the work.

Matthew Quick has a background in music and sound engineering. Recently, he has been incorporating music and sound making with sculptural works made from found objects and inspired by traditional methods.

‘I make my own musical instruments and sound devices to create live sounds I can capture. I edit and piece these sounds together digitally to create unique soundscapes.’
